Become a Lampshade Donor

Starting in September, Lanterman House will be replicating the 95 year-old silk wall sconce shades in our beautiful second floor ballroom. The new shades, produced by Hats for Lamps of Cypress, CA, will be exact duplicates of the originals. But do the extensive hand work involved, they are also costly. We are asking members of the community interested in the preservation of historic interior design to become donors of individual lampshades. For a $100.00 donation, you will underwrite one of the 36 shades and be invited to the ceremonial shade replacement party to take place in December. Donors will replace "their" shade, sip champagne, nibble petit fours, and toast the restoration of another element of the elegant interiors of Lanterman House.
